titleOfInvention Organic phosphorous termite controller
abstract PURPOSE: The titled controller having improved residual effects, especially strongly effective against termites, specifying particle diameter and film thickness of microcapsules in controller preparation when an organic phosphorous insecticide is processed into microcapsules with a polyurea film. n CONSTITUTION: An organic phosphorous insecticide [when 0,0-dimethyl-0-(3- methyl-4-nitrophenyl)phosphorothioate is especially used, powerful effects on termites are obtained] is encapsulated in a polyurea film having ≤80μm average particle diameter and 0.1μmW1μm film thickness and a ratio of average particle diameter/film thickness of 20W400. As a method for making microcapsules, a hydrophobic solution containing a polyfunctional isocyanate and an organic phosphorous insecticide is suspended in a state of droplet in an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble high polymer as a suspension dispersant, directly heated, reacted with water, then diluted with pure water so that it has a given raw material concentration and the resultant solution is incorporated with a dispersion stabilizer and processed into an organic phosphorous insecticide against termite. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
