abstract PURPOSE: To prevent a body to be inspected from being stained owing to dew condensation and freezing capability from deteriorating by providing a gas supply mechanism which supplies dry gas whose dew point is lower than a prescribed value into a test tank. n CONSTITUTION: The test tank 2 is provided inside the flank of a drum 1 pro vided rotatably and the body 3 to be inspected is carried in and out of the tank through an opening part 2a which is open to the outside. Further, a high- temperature tank 4 and low-temperature tank 5 are provided at the outer periph eral part of the drum 1 oppositely to each other across the drum 1 and the air supply mechanism 6 which consists of a valve 6a, a nozzle 6b, etc., is pro vided to part of the test tank 2 to supply dry gas A such as dry air or dry nitrogen gas whose dew point is set below the prescribed value into the test tank 2. Therefore, the internal atmosphere of the test tank 2 is substituted with the dry gas A supplied through the gas supply mechanism 6 and the test tank 2 is connected to the low-temperature tank 5 while outside air containing water is discharged, so the freezing capability of a freezing mechanism 5a is prevented from deteriorating and dew condensation on the surface of the body 3 to be inspected is prevented from being caused. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
