titleOfInvention | Dispersant for aqueous paint |
abstract | PURPOSE: To improve not only the dispersibility of pigment but also the gloss of a formed paint film, by preparing a dispersant for aqueous paint from a salt of a copolymer consisting of a monomer such as isobutylene or styrene and maleic acid or an anhydride thereof. n CONSTITUTION: When isobutylene is used, a predetermined amount of copolymer components except isobutylene is charged in a reaction container and cooled and degassed. Subsequently, a predetermined amount of isobutylene is added to the reaction container to perform copolymerization reaction under stirring at 30W200°C for about 0.5W20hr. The obtained copolymer is neutralized using alkali such as sodium hydroxide to form a salt of the copolymer. This neutralizing reaction is pref. performed at 20W150°C for about 0.5W10hr. Salt thus obtained of the copolymer is used as a dispersant for aqueous paint. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
