titleOfInvention Thermosetting coating composition
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the cratering of a coating and to improve in discoloration of a coating,by incorporating a specified compound into a thermosetting coating composition. n CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting coating composition containing 0.05W3wt% of at least one compound selected from among cyclohexanediol, cyclohexanetriol, dimethyl terephthalate, fluorene and its derivatives, 2,3-dimethylnaphthalene, 1,2,4,5-tetramethylbenzene, dimethylpropanediol, succinic anhydride, hydrogenated bisphenol A, and dimedone and its derivatives. If the amount of the above- mentioned compound is less than 0.05wt%, it is difficult to obtain a desired effect of preventing the cratering while if above 3wt%, the properties of a coating, such as water resistance and solvent resistance, will be inferior, neither of which is desireable. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
