| abstract | PURPOSE:The titled composition, obtained by blending a specific luminescent agent, crosslinking agent, etc., in specific amounts with polyethylene based resin having a specified melt index, usable for automotive interior trim carpet backings, capable of shortening the process and having good shape retention property. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. base resin consisting of one or more polymers selected from low-density polyethylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, copoly mer of ethylene and acrylic acid ester, etc., having 4-60, preferably 5-50 melt index is blended with (B) 2-15pts.wt., preferably 4-13pts.wt. foaming agent having 90-190 deg.C decomposition temperature, e.g. azodicarbonamide, etc., (C) 0.2-15pts.wt. crosslinking agent having 100-160 deg.C for 1hr half-life and (D) 0.02-7.5pts.wt. metal soap or metal oxide, e.g. calcium stearate, etc., and the resultant blend is pulverized to give powder having 0.2-0.25 bulk densi ty, which is the sprinkled over a carpet base fabric in an amount of 200-2,000g/m<2> and the n heated. |
