abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having excellent hardness and processability and useful for automobile parts and industrial products, by blending an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer rubber with a specified modified ethylene copolymer. CONSTITUTION:50-95wt% ethylene (a) is reacted with 5-49wt% alkyl ester of an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid (b) (e.g., ethyl acrylate) and 0.5-10wt% maliec anhydride (c) to obtain a modified ethylene copolymer (B) having a melt index of 0.5-200g/10min at 190 deg.C. 55-95wt% ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer rubber (A) which is a copolymer composed of ethylene, an alpha-olefin (e.g., 1-button) and optionally, a nonconjugated diene (e.g., dicyclopentadiene) is blended with 5-45wt% component B. If desired, a reinforcing agent, a filler, a softener, a plasticizer, a vulcanizing agent, a vulcanization accelerator, etc., are added thereto.
