abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a raw material for phloroglucinol, etc., safely in high yield and purity under mild condition, by treating an aromatic compound having nitro group with H 2 gas in the presence of a metallic catalyst, thereby reducing the nitro group. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compound can be produced by reducing the nitro group of a nitro group-containing aromatic compound of formula (three of R 1 WR 6 are nitro group and/or amino group and the others are H; the ratio of nitro group to amino group is 2:1W1:2, preferably 1:2 from the handleability of the raw material) in a solvent such as dioxane in the presence of a metallic catalyst (preferably Pt/C, etc.) at 5W140°C, especially 60W90°C under H 2 pressure of 0×100kg/cm 2 , preferably 1W4kg/cm 2 . The amount of the catalyst is preferably 1W3wt% based on the nitro compound. n USE: Raw material for crosslinked polyamide resin, etc., and an epoxy resin hardener. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
