titleOfInvention Method for purifying dye
abstract PURPOSE: To purify water-soluble dye useful as a coloring component for a recording solution useful for in jet recording method or writing tools, by treating an aqueous solution of dye with a specific flocculant such as ferric hydroxide, etc. n CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution of water-soluble dye such as C.I. Direct Black 17, 19, 32, 51, C.I. Direct Blue 6, 22, 25, 71, etc., is treated with preferably 10W200pts.wt. dye of at least one flocculant selected from a group consisting of ferric chloride, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate and calcium hydroxide. For example, the flocculant is added to the aqueous solution of the dye and treatment is carried out by sufficient stirring. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
