titleOfInvention | Production of granular immobilized and molded article of enzyme or microbial cell |
abstract | PURPOSE: To continuously obtain the titled granular immobilized and molded article in simple operation, by granulating a specific liquid composition, irradiating the granulated composition with actinic rays and curing a photo-setting resin in the granular material. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. hydrophobic photo-setting resin, e.g. urethanated adduct of polypropylene glycol with 2-hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate, is blended with 0.1W5pts.wt. photopolymerization initiator, e.g. acetoin, etc., 0W1,000pts.wt. solvent capable of diluting the hydrophobic photo-setting resin, e.g. benzene, etc., and 0.001W50pts.wt. enzyme, e.g. microbial cell such as Lactobacillus bulgaris or enzyme such as catalase, etc., to give a liquid composition, which is then dripped into an aqueous medium containing 0.0001W10wt% surfactant, e.g. soybean phospholipid, etc., as driplets having 0.1W5mm diameter and granulated. The resultant granular material is then irradiated with light at 250W600nm wavelength, e.g. high-pressure mercury lamp, etc., and photo-set to afford the aimed granular immobilized and molded article of the enzyme or microbial cell having 0.1W5mm grain diameter. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
