| abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a head rest of simple work and excellent productivity, by a method wherein after a skin material has been formed through bending so as to follow after a form of a head rest cover, urethane resin is molded within the formed skin material by casting the same within the formed skin material so as to bury a core material and stay which are held within the formed skin material. CONSTITUTION:A surface material is formed as a head rest cover 20 through bending by making the same into a baggy state. The head rest over 20 is set up to a urethane foaming mold 14. A core material 3 and stay 4 are set up to the head rest cover 20 inwardly, within which urethane foaming resin 18 is cast through a urethane casting port 17. The head rest cover 20 comes into a state wherein the same is pressed against the inside of the urethane foaming mold 14 through foaming pressure of the urethane foaming resin 18. The process is completed by joining and sealing terminal tiered parts 20a, 20b with a magic tape 21. Such a constitution offers a reduction in cost of the head rest itself and mass productivity can be improved. |
