titleOfInvention Erythrocyte preservative and erythrocyte preserving bag storing same
abstract PURPOSE: An erythrocyte preservative useful as an erythrocyte preserving bag, preventing reduction in concentration of ATP and 2,3-DPG in erythrocyte preservation, containing a monophosphorylated derivative of monosaccharide. n CONSTITUTION: An erythrocyte preservative containing 5W500 millimol/l monophosphorylated derivative of monosaccharide (e.g., glucose-1-phosphate, glucose-6-phosphate, fructose-1-phosphate or fructose-6-phosphate). The erythrocyte preservative can keep 2,3-DPG level high and exerts no bad influence on ATP level. Further, since the phosphorylated derivative practically has membrane impermeability to erythrocyte, it has a role as a colloidal osmotic pressure adjuster and has an inhibitory effect on hemolysis during preservation. The preservative is packed into a bag made of non-rigid vinyl chloride resin to prepare an erythocyte preserving bag. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
