titleOfInvention Polymer containing isocyanurate structure in side chain and having adsorption capability
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polymer having isocyanurate structure on side chain, having adsorbing capability and useful as an adsorbent for low-molecular compound, a perfumery retainer, etc., by (co)polymerizing a monomer consisting of an isocyanurate compound containing alkenyl group, etc. n CONSTITUTION: A monomer of formula (A is atomic group containing alkenyl group; R is atomic group containing aromatic group and free from a structural isomeric structure and steric isomeric structure) (e.g. β-vinyloxyethyl dibenzylisocyanurate) is dissolved e.g. in liquid propane at -70°C and (co) polymerizied in the presence of a polymerization initiator such as boron trifluoride diethyl etherate, etc. After the completion of the reaction, 2% ammonia methanol solution is added to the reaction mixture and reacted at ≤-70°C to inactivate the polymerization initiator. The temperature of the system is slowly raised to room temperature to evaporate propane and the evaporation residue is washed to obtain the objective polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
