titleOfInvention | Antibiotic-containing pharmaceutical composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: The titled pharmaceutical composition, obtained by blending an antibiotic with cyclodextrin and collagen and having enhanced stability and absorbability of the antibiotic. n CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition containing at least one selected from cyclodextrin and collagen and an antibiotic, e.g. cephaloridine or ce phazoline. The cyclodextrin is a nonreducing maltooligosaccharide in which D-glucose is linked in a ring form and a cavity is provided in the center of a cyclic structure. In some cases, the cyclodextrin forms a clathrate compound with a drug and stabilizes. The collagen is albuminoid accounting for a principal ingredient in the skin, bone, etc., of calves, etc., and an extract from the above- mentioned raw material is normally used as the collagen to be used in the composition. A phosphilipid is further preferably blended in composition and the cyclodextrin, collagen and phospholipid promote the absorption of the antibi otic. The local convergence of the antibiotic is further enhanced. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
