abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled novel compound of high weatherability, requiring no additive, by incorporating hydroxy ethyl-tetramethyl-hydroxypiperidine with specified amount of specific lactone followed by reaction. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compound of formula II (Y is mole number of 4W8C lactone; n+m=2W15) can be obtained by incorporating (A) 1-(2'- hydroxyethyl)-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-hydroxy-piperidine of formula I with (B) 2W15 moles of a 4W8C lactone (pref. ε-caprolactone) followed by reaction at 130W220°C, pref. in a nitrogen atmosphere under ambient pressure. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
