abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I (G is galloyl shown by formula II). n USE: An antiallergic agent and an antiviral agent. n PREPARATION: For example, sanguisorba Radix is extracted with aqueous acetone and acetone is distilled away. Then, the residue is partitioned with ethyl acetate and a water-soluble substance is collected, incorporated with sellaite and air-dried. The prepared substance is packed into a column and eluted with acetone to give an acetone-soluble substance.
