titleOfInvention | Additive for coal-water slurry |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain an additive for coal-water slurry capable of improving the stability and flowability of two slurry in a high-temp. range, by mixing a salt of (alkyl)naphthalenesulfonic acid condensate and ethylene oxide-propylene oxide polyol of the pluronic type. n CONSTITUTION: Polypropylene glycol is reacted with ethylene oxide in the pres ence of a catalyst to given ethylene oxide-propylene oxide polyol of the pluonic type (with an ethylene oxide to propylene oxide weight ratio of 95W65/5W35) (B) having an average MW of 3,000W30,000. (Alkyl)naphthalenesulfonic acid condensate (A) having a degree of sulfonation of 0.9 or more and an average degree of condensation of 10W18 is neutralized with an alkali (earth), alkanolamine, lower amine, pref. alkali metal. The salt is mixed with polyol B in a wt. ratio of 90W20/10W80 to give the titled additive. 3W0.01wt% (based on coal) aforesaid additive is added to a water slurry contg. pulverized coal having such particular size distribution that 80% of the particles pass through a 200-mesh sieve. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
