abstract PURPOSE: To attain simplification of the setting and reading of a flow rate, by providing a thin plate shaped article having a piercing hole by a manufacturing method according to etching processing to set the flow amount. n CONSTITUTION: A rotatable change-over main shaft 2 is mounted in a main body housing 1 and a cylindrical chamber structure 3 is provided on said main shaft 3 and a plurality of holes 6 are opened to the cylindrical circumferential part 5 of said structure 3. Further, a thin plate 4 provided with a large number of independent piercing holes 7 different in a hole diameter is engaged with the inside surface of the circumferential part 5 and present at positions where the holes 7 respectively coincide with the holes 6. Gas is introduced from a gas introducing port 10 to pass through the selected hole 7 of the plate 4 and the hole 6 corresponding thereto and flows out from an outflow port 11. By this method, the gas of which the flow rate corresponds to the hole diameter of the hole 7 flows out to the side of the outflow port 11. By rotating the change-over shaft 2, the desired piercing hole 7 can be selected. Because of this constitution, a manufacturing method is simple and reproducibility is also sufficiently secured and a highly accurate flowmeter is easily obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
