abstract | PURPOSE: A catalyst, consisting of a component obtained by bringing a specific solid composition into contact with water, Si compound and organoaluminum compound and capable of acting with high activity and producing stereoregular polymers having a uniform particle size distribution in high yield in using for polymerizing olefins. n CONSTITUTION: A catalyst formed from (A) a catalyst component obtained by bringing a solid composition prepared by bringing (i) magnesium salt of a fatty acid, e.g. magnesium stearate or magnesium laurate, etc., into contact with (ii) a diester of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, e.g. dimethyl phthalate, in an amount of normally 0.01W0.5g based on 1g component (i) and (iii) a titanium halide, e.g. TiCl 4 , etc., in an amount of normally ≥1g based on 1g component (i) further into contact with water, (B) a silicon compound expressed by the formula (R is H, alkyl or aryl; R' is alkyl or aryl; 0≤m≤4), e.g. phenyltrimethoxysilane, etc., and (C) an organoaluminum compound. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
