Liposome preparation containing embedded adriamycin |
abstract |
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled drug preparation having suppressed side effect compared with conventional drug and maximized carcinostatic action, by embedding adriamycin in a liposome consisting of phosphatidylcholine, cholesterol and sulfatide at specific molar ratios. CONSTITUTION:A liposome preparation containing adriamycin embedded in a liposome having molar ratios of constituent lipids (phosphatidylcholine: cholesterol:sulfatide) of about 5:4:1. The concentration of adriamycin in blood can be increased compared with conventional preparation having the molar ratios of 7:2:1 and the requisite condition to suppress the accumulation of adriamycin in the heart can be fulfilled in a well-balanced state. |
