| abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having high strength, excellent heat- resistance and weather-resistance, high overall light transmittance and low haze, by adding anhydrous silica and a specific nitrogen-containing compound to an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer and vulcanizing the composition with an organic peroxide. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.(wt.) of an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer rubber is compounded with (B) 10-70pts. of anhydrous silica having an average primary particle diameter of <=20nm, (C) 0.01-2pts. of at least one kind of the compound of formula I-III (R1 is 1-3C alkyl; R2 is 6-10C alkyl; R3 is 1-3C alkyl; n is 1-5; R4 is 1-3C alkyl; l is 1-5) and (D) 0-2pts. of at least one kind of compound selected from the compound of formula IV and V (R5 is 1-9C alkyl; R6 is 1-6C alkyl; n is 1-6). The obtained unvulcanized rubber composition free from metal oxide and metal carbonate is vulcanized with an organic peroxide. Although the component D is not indispensable, the effect can be improved by the addition of the compound. |
