abstract | PURPOSE: To provide the titled copolymer composed of ethylene and 1-butene, having narrow molecular weight distribution and compositional distribution, specific viscosity, melting point, crystallinity, solubility and NMR spectrum and excellent transparency and blocking resistance and useful as a packaging film. etc. n CONSTITUTION: Ethylene and 1-butene are copolymerized in the presence of a catalyst composed of an indenyl group-containing zirconium compound and alumino-oxane to obtain the objective copolymer composed of 1W50mol% ethylene component and 50W99mol% 1-butene component, having an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 0.5W6dl/g measured in decalin at 135°C, a molecular weight distribution (M w /M n ) of ≤3, a melting point of 30W130°C measured by differential scanning calorimeter and a crystallinity of 1W60% measured by X-ray diffraction, containing ≤1wt% component soluble in boiling methyl acetate and ≤4×[η] -1.2 wt% component soluble in acetone/n-decane mixture (1/1 by volume) at 10°C, free from αβ and βγ signals assigned to methylene chain between two adjacent tert-carbon atoms in the main chain measured by 13 C-NMR spectrum and having the B value defined by formula I (PB is molar fraction of 1- butene; PE is molar fraction of ethylene; PBE is molar fraction of dyad chain) falling in the range of formula II. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
