titleOfInvention | Magnetic recording medium |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled magnetic recording medium having excellent traveling stability and resistance to wear and corrosion by using a perfluoroalkylcarboxylic acid ester and diallyl ketone as a protective layer. n CONSTITUTION: A ferromagnetic metallic thin film is formed on a nonmagnetic carrier, and the protective layer consisting essentially of a perfluo roalkylcarboxylic acid ester and diallyl ketone is coated on the ferromagnetic metallic thin film to obtain the medium. The perfluoroalkylcarboxylic acid ester to be used is shown by the formula, C n F 2n+1 COOR (where n is a 6W10 integer and R is a 1W25 C hydrocarbonic group), and can be easily synthesized by the reaction of a perfluoroalkylcarboxylic acid with the corresponding alco hol. Benzophenone and its derivatives can be exemplified as the diallyl ketone to be used and benzophenone, etc., for example, can be exemplified. The compounding ratio by weight of the perfluoroalkylcarboxylic acid ester to the diallyl ketone is preferably adjusted to 10/2W10/10. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio |
