NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R<1> is H, alkyl, lower alkenyl, phenyl, etc.; R<2> and R<3> are lower alkyl or together form -CH2CH2- or -CH=CH-; R<4> is H, lower alkyl, etc.; A is -(CH2)n- (n is 0-2) or -CH(COOR<5>)- (R<5> is lower alkyl)] or its salt. EXAMPLE:1-Benzyl-3-(1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene)-2,4-dioxopiperidine. USE:A remedy and preventive for hepatic disorder. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I and its salt can be produced by reacting the compound of formula II with the compound of formula III in a solvent in the presence of a base (e.g. alkali metal hydride, alkali metal hydroxide, organic amine, etc.) at 0-80 deg.C. A remedy and preventive for hepatitis can be prepared by using the compound as an active ingredient. It can be administered orally or parenterally at a dose of 0.01-250mg/kg. |
