titleOfInvention Fiber reinforced resin gear and its manufacture
abstract PURPOSE:To improve strength of the whole unit of a gear, by arranging a fiber in the gear to be placed from a tooth crest of one tooth part along a tooth surface toward a root part of the gear and turned back in the root part and forming a wavy pattern. CONSTITUTION:A resin component, forming a gear, uses thermo-setting resin of epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, phenol resin, etc. or thermo-plastic resin, while a reinforcing fiber uses carbon fiber, silicon carbide fiber glass fiber, etc. A continuous fiber 1 is arranged in a tooth crest-center wavy pattern in such a manner that the fiber is placed from a tooth crest of one tooth part 2 along a tooth surface toward a tooth root part 4 and turned back in a predetermined position of the root part 4 toward a tooth crest along a tooth surface of the other tooth part 3. In this way, strength is more improved by folding the fiber in an angular part to be arranged more along the acting direction of dedendum stress.
