titleOfInvention Production of olefin polymer
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an odorless, highly reactive and highly stereoregular olefin polymer in high yields, by polymerizing an olefin by using a catalyst system formed by combining a specified solid catalyst component with an organoaluminum compound and a cineole compound. n CONSTITUTION: An olefin is polymerized by contact with a catalyst system formed by combining a solid catalyst component comprising a magnesium halide and a titanium halide, an organoaluminum compound, and a cineole compound. The magnesium halide used is preferably magnesium chloride, preferably anhydrous. The titanium halide is preferably a chloride, particularly preferably titanium tetrachloride. The preferred cineole compound includes 1,8-cineole. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
