abstract PURPOSE: To obtain asphaltic material-contg. polyol with good storage stability, low viscosity and good workability, by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer in a mixture of an asphaltic material and a polyol. n CONSTITUTION: An ethylenically unsaturated monomer is polymerized in a mixture of an asphaltic material and a polyol to obtain the purpose polyol compsn. As the asphaltic material to be used, straight asphalt, brown asphalt and semi-brown asphalt are pref. As the polyol, for example, polyether polyol, polyester polyol and a mixture consisting of at least these two components a re used. Among these polyols, the polyether polyol is pref.
