titleOfInvention Method for processing photosensitive silver halide material
abstract PURPOSE:To maintain the sensitivity of a photosensitive silver halide material and to prevent effectively fog by developing the material in the presence of substituted mercaptotetrazole having a specified structure. CONSTITUTION:A substitution product of 1-phenyl-5-mercaptotetrazole used as an anti-foggant is represented by formula I (where each of R1-R5 is H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or a substituent represented by formula II, III or IV, and at least one among R1-R5 is a substituent represented by the formula II, III or IV). The anti-foggant is added to a developer or a photosensitive emulsion. Thus, a photosensitive silver halide material is developed in the presence of the anti-foggant, so fog can be inhibited without reducing the sensitivity.
