PURPOSE: A preventive for chilblains having high remedying effect, containing 7-ethoxycarbonyl-4-hydroxymethyl-6,8-dimethyl-1(2H)phthalaz-one as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A perniosis preventive containing 7-ethoxycarbonyl-4-hydroxy methyl-6,8-dimethyl-1(2H)phth-alaz-one as an active ingredient. Various bases of common use for percutaneous external preparation are used as a base for pharmaceutical preparation, and the remedy in the form of an ointment or cream is applied to the skin to exhibit excellent effect as a peniosis preventive.
