titleOfInvention | Production of alkanolamine derivative |
abstract | PURPOSE: Glycidyl acrylate is added to an alkanolamine in a bulk system in the presence of a plymerization inhibitor at a specific temperature, then their reaction is completed to enable simple production of the titled compound of high purity, which is used as a starting monomer of photosensitive resins. n CONSTITUTION: Glycidyl methacrylate or acrylate is added to an alkanolamine of formula I (R is H, ClH 2l+1 where l is 1W4; C m H 2m Oh where m is 2W4) in a bulk system in the presence of a polymerization inhibitor at 45W4) in a bulk system in the presence of a polymerization inhibitor at 45W65°C, then the reac tion is completed at 35W45°C to give an alkanolamine derivative of formula II (R' is H, methyl). Phenothiazine or hydroquinone is used as the polymerization inhibitor. The process of the present invention gives the objective compound of freeness of solvent as well as high purity and the resultant resin can be directly used as a starting monomer over a wide range of fields including photo sensitive resins. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
