titleOfInvention Immuno-activating component
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled component containing polysaccharide existing in marine chlorella as an active component, having immuno-activating activity, and useful as an antitumor agent and a preventive for viral infection such as common cold, etc. n CONSTITUTION: The objective component contains a polysaccharide existing in marine chlorella, usually Chlorella minutissima, Chlorella vulgaris, etc. An immuno-activating activity has been found in the above component using the activity to promote the production of antibody in mouse spleen, as the index, and the suppressing effect to the mouse tumor, Sarcoma 180, has been found. The antibody production promoting effect and the tumor proliferation suppressing effect are stronger in the polysaccharide component of marine chlorella than in the component of fresh-water chlorella, and the agent is expected to be usable as an immuno-activating agent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
