abstract | PURPOSE: A germicidal disinfectant, especially useful for disinfection of fingers stained with organics such as proteins and exhibiting germicidal effect in a short time, and containing a specific amount or more of dodecyl-dimethyl- benzylammonium or its salt as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A germicidal disinfectant which contains ≥about 80wt%, preferably ≥about 85wt% dodecyl-dimethyl-benzylammonium or its salt as for an alkyl dimethyl-benzylammonium or its salt as an active ingredient. It may contain one or 2 or more selected from those having a side chain alkyl group of C 8 H 17 , C 10 H 21 , C 14 H 29 , C 16 H 33 or C 18 H 37 along with the one having dodecyl group. The disinfectant is used as a solution of 0.1W10% (wt./vol.) concentration in terms of the above-mentioned active ingredient. When used for the disinfection of such as fingers, 3W10ml solution of ≥0.1%, preferably 0.5%W5% concentration is taken on palms, followed by rubbing hands together for ≥10sec, preferably ≥1min to effect washing. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
