abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having improved melt-stability without lowering the physical properties, and especially blended with a polycarbonate and a reinforcing filler, by using an assistant flame-retardant consisting of an antimony trioxide having an average particle diameter of larger than a specific level. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polybutylene terephthalate (including copolymer and mixture) is compounded with (B) 1-30(wt)% flame-retardant consisting of an aromatic bromine compound, preferably a compound prepared by substituting diphenyl ether with 5-10 bromine atoms, (C) 1-15% assistant flame-retardant consisting of antimony trioxide having an average particle diameter of >=1mum, preferably >=2mum, especially 5-7mum and especially (D) 0.5-40% polycarbonate, preferably a high-fluidity polycarbonate and (E) 1-15pts. of one or more (preferably surface-treated) reinforcing fillers selected from glass flakes, glass fibers and mica.
