PURPOSE: To reclaim H 2 gas in a coke oven gas easily and economically, by introducing the coke oven gas into a tower packed with iron oxide to remove impurities, followed by introducing it into pressure swing adsorption equipment to separate and collect H 2 gas. n CONSTITUTION: A coke oven gas at ordinary pressure is introduced into a tower 11 packed with iron oxide in pellet form, where impurities such as H 2 S, NO, and tar mist are removed; with the pressure being increased by means of a compressor 12, the gas is then introduced into a pressure swing adsorption equipment 13, where H 2 gas is separated and collected; and the gas is then introduced into an O 2 adsorption tower 14, where O 2 gas is separated. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
