titleOfInvention Method for forming electrically conductive tin oxide film on substrate
abstract PURPOSE: To form a uniform and transparent electrically conductive tin oxide film having low electrical resistance on the surface of a substrate such as glass, etc. quickly, by applying a solution of a specific diorganotin hydroxycarboxylate oligomer to the surface of hot substrate, thereby effecting the heat-decomposition of the oligomer. n CONSTITUTION: A diorganotin hydroxycarboxylate oligomer of formula R is alkyl or aryl; R' is (un)substituted alkyl or aryl; m is 0 or integer] is dissolved in a solvent such as ethanol, acetone, xylene, etc. at a concentration of 10W80wt%, and if necessary, 10W100wt% dopant (e.g. trifluoroacetic anhydride) (based on the oligomer) is added to the solution. The surface of a substrate such as glass having sufficiently defatted and cleaned surface and heated at a temperature below the softening temperature of glass (400W700°C) is coated with the above solution by spraying, and the solution is subjected to thermal decomposition in a furnace at 500W600°C to form an electrically conductive tin oxide film on the surface. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
