titleOfInvention | Method of immobilizing physiologically active substance |
abstract | PURPOSE: To immobilize a physiologically active substance in high immobilization efficiency simply and firmly, by polymerizing a glassy supercooled polymerizable monomer at low temperature by light ray or ionizing radiation irradiation to give a porous polymer, bringing the polymer into contact with a physiologically active substance to adoserb the substance on the polymer, and drying the polymer. n CONSTITUTION: A glassy supercooled polymerizable monomer[e.g., hydroxyethyl methacrylate, etc.] is blended with water, irradiated with light rays or ionizing radiation at low temperature ≤0°C and polymerized, to give a porous polymer. Then, it is added to an aqueous solution of a physiologically active substance (e.g., glucoamylase, etc.), it is in contact with the solution for a given time, so that the physiologically active substance is absorved in or adsorbed on the polymer, and the polymer is dried, so that the physiologically active substance is immobilized to the polymer. The concentration of the monomer in water is preferably 5W90wt%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
