titleOfInvention Novel cerulein plasmid
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The plasmid containing the DNA coding the amino acid sequence of formula I and/or the DNA coding the amino acid sequence having the primary structure of formula II. USE:A recombinant plasmid for producing cerulein which is a plysiologically active substance useful as an agent for the examination of pancreatic or cystic function and a remedy for schizophrenia. PREPARATION:An mRNA is extracted from the skin of Xemopus, and the cDNA libraty of the mRNA is prepared. The objectibe cerulein cDNA is selected from said library by using a synthetic DNA corresponding to a part of the amino acid sequence of cerulein.
