abstract PURPOSE: To enable stable control even if there is pulsation at low rotation by setting the clutch current supplied to an electromagnetic clutch to the pulse current with a comparatively high fixed cycle and controlling the on duty ratio of the pulse current according to the rotation of an engine. n CONSTITUTION: When an electromagnetic clutch 15 inserted between an engine and a transmission is controlled through a drive circuit 14 by a control unit 5, the clutch current supplied to the electromagnetic clutch 15 is set to the pulse current with a comparatively fixed cycle. The ON time and the OFF time in the fixed cycle of this pulse current are operated arithmetically based on the output signal and such of an axle degree of opening sensor 1 and an engine number of rotations sensor 2. Simultaneously with this, since a shock is reduced in the start characteristics of the clutch current, the said operation result is corrected according to the output signal and such of a water temperature sensor 4.
