NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula (R is 1-8C alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl or aralkyl). EXAMPLE:2-[4,5-Bis-(4-methoxyphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]pyrrol-1-ylacetic acid methyl ester. USE:A blood platelet coagulation inhibiting agent having low toxicity. PREPARATION:4,5-Bis-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-(pyrrol-2-yl)thiazole of formula II is made to react with the compound of formula III (X is halogen) (e.g. methyl bromoacetate) preferably at an equivalent ratio of 1:(1-1.2), in the presence of a base such as K, Na, etc. or a phase-transfer catalyst such as tetra-n-butyl ammonium bromide. |
