titleOfInvention Hair dyeing agent
abstract PURPOSE:A hair dyeing agent showing dyeing power to stand practical use at low temperature, having improved safety and shelf stability without damaging and irritating scalp with a blended amount of low concentration, comprising a naphthalene derivative as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A hair dyeing agent comprising a naphthalene derivative shown by the formula I (R is H, or NHCnH2n+1; n=0-4) as an active ingredient. An amount of the active ingredient added is >=0.05wt%, preferably >=0.1wt% based on total amount of the hair dyeing agent. A naphthalene derivative wherein R=NHCnH2n+1 among the active ingredient is a novel compound. The naphthalene derivative is synthesized by reducing a corresponding 2-(alkyl)amino-5,8- dihydroxynaphthoquinone with a reducing agent such as sodium dithionate, etc. in the presence of an alkali such as potassium hydroxide, etc. in a mixed solution of water and an alcohol or in an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid in the presence of zinc.
