PURPOSE: To utilize a waste serum, left after coagulating and removing a rubber component from a natural rubber latex and to obtain a powdered nonrubber component useful for feeds, medicines or the like, by spray-drying the serum under specified drying conditions to form a fine powder therefrom. n CONSTITUTION: The purpose powdered nonrubber component is obtained by spraying a serum left after coagulating and removing a rubber component from a natural rubber latex by spraying it into a high-temperature atmosphere of 150W250°C and thereby evaporating the water to form a powder of an average particle diameter of 10W100μ. Preferable conditions of spray-drying include an inlet temperature of 250W150°C and an exit temperature of 130W150°C. When the spraying is performed by using a disc rotor, it is desirable that the speed of the disc rotor is 10,000W30,000rpm and when it is performed by using a nozzle, it is desirable that the serum is sprayed through the nozzle with a nozzle injection pressure controlled at 0.5W2kg/cm 2 . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
