abstract | PURPOSE: The titled composition, obtained by incorporating leaf alcohol, leaf aldehyde, cinnamyl alcohol or cinnamaldehyde in a chain or cyclic ketone having a specific boiling point range, having powerful repellency and high safety and capable of exhibiting improved effect even in a small amount. n CONSTITUTION: The titled composition obtained by incorporating one or two or more selected from leaf alcohol, e.g. 3-cis-hexenol, leaf aldehyde, e.g. trans-2- hexenal, cinnamyl alcohol, e.g. (C 6 H 5 CH=CHCH 2 OH) and cinnamaldehyde (C 6 H 5 CH=CHCHO) in a chain or cyclic ketone having 150W220°C boiling point under ordinary pressure, e.g. cyclohexanone or isophorone. This composition has no bad or irritant smell and lethal ability. Therefore, the composition is safe and capable of achieving the aim without damaging the protected environment.
