abstract | PURPOSE: To shorten the foaming time and to soften the texture, etc. of a synthetic leather, by adding a specific amount of aluminum hydroxide to a foamable composition composed of a polyurethane, water-containing microcapsules and a catalyst, and using the composition as the foamable adhesive constituting a synthetic leather. n CONSTITUTION: A synthetic leather composed of a skin layer, a foamable adhesive layer and a substrate cloth is manufactured by using a foamable adhesive prepared by adding 15W50pts.wt. (based on 100pts.wt. of polyurethane) of aluminum hydroxide fine powder having particle diameter of 1W30μ to a foamable composition composed of a polyester-type or polyether-type polyurethane having isocyanate group at the polymer terminal, water-containing microcapsules and a catalyst, and foaming the mixture with heat. The addition of aluminum hydroxide gives fine, dense and flat closed cells, shortens the thermal foaming time by the reaction acceleration effect of the compound, and improves the productivity. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
