abstract NEW MATERIAL:A bisphenol derivative shown by the formula I (R is 2W4C alkenyl; R' is 1W4C alkyl). n EXAMPLE: 2,2'-methylenebis(6-t-butyl-4-methylphenol)diacrylate. n USE: Useful as a crosslinking auxiliary. Useful as a monomer of UV curing type, a monomer for coating compounds, adhesives etc. Having no odor, low volatility, and improved shelf stability. The use of the titled compound as a crosslinking auxiliary for rubber.rubber, rubber.plastic, plastic.plastic, polymer.telomer, polymer.monomer provides a crosslinked product with extremely improved physical properties. n PREPARATION: A carboxylic acid shown by the formula II is reacted with a bisphenol shown by the formula III in the presence of a dehydrohalogenating agent and a halogenating agent such as phosphorus oxychloride, etc. at -20W150°C, preferably at 20W100°C, to give a compound shown by the formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
