titleOfInvention Synthetic resin-covered spring
abstract PURPOSE:To improve silencing ability and durability, by a method wherein the surface of a spring is covered with denatured olefin polymer, denatured by unsaturted carbon acid or its derivative, or a composition of a denatured orefin polymer and an undenatured orefin polymer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a spring is covered with a denatured orefin polymer, denatured by unsaturated carbon acid or its derivative, or a composition of a denatured orefin polymer and an undenatured orefin polymer. An orefin alone polymer, e.g., polyethylene, polypropylene, polybudene 1, and a mutual copolymer, e.g., ethylelen, propylene, can be used as the orefin polymer. A polymer, prepared such that about 0.05-10wt%, preferably 0.1-5.0wt%, based on an orefin polymer, of unsaturated carbon acid is additionally denatured under the presence of an organic peroxide.
