titleOfInvention | Magnetic recording flexible disk |
abstract | PURPOSE: To improve the bonding durability of the title disk by forming a layer of poly-1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate on both surfaces of a film of polyethylene terephthalate or poly-ethylene-2,6-naphthalate and using a biaxially-oriented film as the substrate. n CONSTITUTION: A magnetic layer is provided on a biaxially-oriented polyester film substrate and the surface is smoothed to obtain a magnetic recording flexible disk. In the disk. a film of polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene-2,6- naphthalate is used as the intermediate layer and a film of poly-1,4- cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate is laminated in 0.1W20×m thickness on both sides of the intermediate layer to form the laminated film substrate. Consequently, the adhesive property of the base film can be improved and the dropouts due to the stripping off of the magnetic layer during calendering can be remarkably reduced. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
