abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity by incorporating a specified disazo pigment in a photosensitive layer. n CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive layer contains a disazo pigment represented by the formula shown on the right and it is characterized by using benzoxazole, benzothiazole, or benzimidazole for its skeleton, and substituting an electron attractive group at the structural site of the anilide group of the coupler residue corresponding to the o-position to the -CONH- group. The use of it permits one or both of carrier generation and transfer efficiencies in the photosensitive layer to be improved and the obtained photosensitive layer to be enhanced in sensitivity and potential stability at the time of long repeated uses. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
