titleOfInvention Production of l-phenylalanine
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound using an enzyme having a high activity and lasting properties efficiently, by reacting cinnamic acid with ammonia in the presence of ammonia-lyase prepared from a specific microorganism having the ability to produce L-phenylalanine from the above-mentioned compounds. n CONSTITUTION: Cinnamic acid is reacted with ammonia in the presence of ammonia-lyase to produce L-phenylalanine. In the process, ammonia-lyase prepared by cultivating a microorganism, belonging to the genus Pholiota, Hebeloma, Coprinus or Lyophyllum and having the ability to produce the L- phenylalanine from the cinnamic acid and ammonia, is present to react the cinnamic acid with the ammonia to afford the aimed compound. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
