titleOfInvention External dermatic agent having improved transcutaneous absorbability
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled external agent having improved transcutaneous absorbability of an ionic water-soluble drug, by using an ionic water-soluble drug and an amphoteric surfactant as active components. n CONSTITUTION: A dermatic external agent having improved transcutaneous absorbability of an ionic water-soluble drug can be produced by compounding (A) an ionic water-soluble drug (which has a pKa of ≤4.5 or ≥6.5 and a solubility of ≥1g/10ml of water at 25°C: e.g. an antiepileptic agent such as valproate sodium) and (B) an amphoteric surfactant (having acidic and basic dissociable groups in the molecule and having moderate solubility in oil: e.g. betaine-type amphoteric surfactant, amino acid-type amphoteric surfactant, sulfonic acid-type amphoteric surfactant, sulfate-type amphoteric surfactant, etc.) at a weight ratio of 1:0.05W100, preferably 1:0.1W80. The external agent can be applied in the form of e.g. ointment, aerosol, lotion, poultice, tape, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
