titleOfInvention Ordinary temperature drying alkyd resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an alkyd resin composition which can be dried at ordinary temperature and can take a high-solid form, by using a drying (or semidrying) oil and/or a drying (or semidrying) oil fatty acid, a polyol and a specified polycarboxylic acid. n CONSTITUTION: The following three polycarboxylic acids, are used: (a) 97W60wt% dicarboxylic acid, (b) 2W30wt% acid anhydrides of formulas I and/or II (wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 , which may be the same or different from each other, are each H, a lower alkyl, carboxyl group of a halogen) or their corresponding acids and (c) 1W10wt% at least trifunctional polycarboxylic acid or its anhydride. Said drying (or semidrying) oils or drying (or semidrying) oil fatty acids and said polyols are those which are normally used in the synthesis of alkyd resin. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
