abstract PURPOSE: In obtaining water slurry of a purified polycarbonate resin solid material form a solution of the resin, to prevent admixture of fine dusts in a production process and to make filtration and drying easy, by solidifying a solution in the process of solidification while circulating it through a wet grinder. n CONSTITUTION: A solution of a purified polycarbonate resin is blended (preferably solidified at 45W60°C) with a solvent for purification and solidification (preferably 0.2W0.4 as much as the resin solution by volume), added to water under heating, the solvent and the solvent for solidification are distilled away, the solution is circulated (a circulation amount is preferably 5W20 times as much as the total solution for solidifaction/hour to circulate the solution) through a wet type grinder and ground in wet state to give water slurry of polycarbonate resin solid material comprising ≥90wt% bead-like polycarbonate solid particles having preferably 0.5W2mm average particle and 0.3W0.6g/cc bulk specific gravity. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio
